Student Success Coaching

Executive life coaching is a unique program for young leaders seeking to grow
"Successful people never reach their goals alone" -Winston Churchill

What is Success coaching?

Student Success Coaching is not a tutoring session or crash course on "How to get into Harvard".  It is a balanced 1:1 coaching program that is uniquely created for students (13+ years) to find a better way to live a successful and happy life.

"The Student Success Coaching program will provide young leaders with executive-style training to help them prepare for life. This program is meant to go beyond college prep by preparing students to be successful, happy, and a great asset to any organization." - Jacob Kashiwagi, PhD

How we teach success

When students enjoy what they are doing and feel happy, they excel in college, they excel in the industry, and they excel in life. It is important to remember that leadership skills cannot be taught to someone in a classroom. We have created a model that simplifies life and will enable students to learn to see life as a leader does. Giving them opportunities to improve themselves and learn how to lead others as they progress through school.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any further questions, please contact [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

  • How does this differ from regular tutoring?

Traditional tutoring typically focuses on one subject or goal at a time (math, writing, reading, standardized tests, etc.). LSA Student Success Coaching is a high-level life coaching program similar to executive training that is popular in the professional world. We help students improve all aspects of their lives (personal, professional, and academic).

  • How do you know your program is successful?

Our coaching method is sourced from 25 years of industry-based leadership training and research (more info). This model has been taught to over 1,400 graduate and undergraduate students at Arizona State University and 500 high school students. It was part of the most popular course at ASU’ Barrett, the Honors College. Students who complete the program report an average decrease in stress of 30%. Over 50% of students report feeling happier, more accountable, and more prepared for their futures. Learn more about our individual case studies HERE, and read what our students and parents have to say HERE.

  • Where do we meet? Where do the coaching sessions occur?

LSA coaches will meet wherever is most convenient for our students. Most coaching sessions occur in public places (libraries, restaurants, coffee houses, etc.) If students prefer to meet at their homes, we ask that a parent or legal guardian is present and close by. See Here to see workshop schedule for locations

  • Can any students in Arizona participate?

At this time, our program offering is limited to students within the Greater Phoenix area because of traveling limitations. If you live outside of the Phoenix Valley, and you would still like to participate, we can make arrangements to meet at a central location or we can adjust program costs to accommodate for additional travel.

  • When does the program start and end?

The coaching program ends after students receive 12 individual coaching sessions. Students can attend any workshops occurring up to 12 months after the final purchase date.

  • What if my child cannot make it to a coaching session?

Each student will receive 12 coaching sessions. If we cannot find a time to meet one month, we will plan on meeting twice during the next month.

  • Can coaching sessions happen over the phone or video conference?

Yes. If need be, we can arrange a virtual meeting, but we prefer face to face interaction.

  • What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds after the first coaching session except under extenuating circumstances. Most of our coaches’ time is spent up-front creating action plans for each student and our programs are priced to compensate for this time commitment.

  • Can parents attend coaching sessions?

Yes! We only ask that you discuss it with your child beforehand. We like to treat each of our students as professionals and we want them to feel as comfortable as possible. To make the most out of our program, we want our students to feel a sense of accountability for their own coaching, so we put them in charge of scheduling and coordination when possible. Some students are more comfortable with their parents and some are more comfortable without.

  • Can coaches pick up or drop off my child from school/home?

No. For liability reasons, our coaches cannot allow students in their personal vehicles.

  • What if I have already purchased workshop packages?

We will deduct the cost of the workshops from the success coaching package.

  • Can we request specific coaches?

Yes, but we cannot guarantee that you will have the same coach during every session. Each coach has very different skills and experiences to share with students, we think that it will benefit the students to spend time with each of the coaches.

  • Can college students participate?

Yes. If you are a college student, we will offer the same package but with more advanced coaching sessions.

  • What are the volunteering opportunities?

LSA is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our students will become registered LSA volunteers. We provide students various volunteering opportunities by assisting in our summer programs, helping with organizational administration, and tutoring other students in our network.

  • I am interested but I am still not sure about the program, or my child is unsure. How can I find out more?

You can contact us any time for additional questions by emailing us at [email protected]. We are also willing to arrange a preliminary meeting to talk with you and your child about our program to see if it’s a good fit.

  • If there are any questions left unanswered please email us at [email protected]
